Horia Rusu Foundation is a non-governmental organization with a unique status on the Romanian public scene. It has been founded in 2001, by Horia Rusu’s friends, who wanted to fill the gap his death had left in Romanian politics. At the same time, it is a matter of soul, as it is the creation of people who loved Horia, and a matter of pragmatics, a vehicle for the ideas which he promoted to be taken further. It is an independent foundation of liberal views, which aims at being a link between politics and civil society, a free environment where ideas are debated and solutions are found in order to solve the problems of the Romanian society.
